Happy New Year 2021. No fireworks to end the previous year. Fine by me – I have never been a friend of noisy, smoky fireworks. Instead I’m absolutely mesmerised by the 2020 Hogmanay drone display over the last three nights of the old year. What a surprise! What a mesmerising, creative mix of light, music, poetry, landscape, Scottish voices and sounds, magical animals moving across the night sky from the Highlands to the Capital City, Edinburgh.
Look away if you don’t want to know who made this magic and how. Otherwise, with gratitude, let’s look behind the scenes of Edinburgh’s 2020 Hogmanay here.
If you haven’t seen it, here the original magic
